F. C. Owen Class
This class is made up of a diverse mix of adults. The class supports members of the community with various needs, and seeks to grow in relationship with Christ. The class format involves lively debate and open discussion in a loving and supportive atmosphere. Our class uses a variety of materials to stimulate thought and discussion about our lives and about how we can learn to serve the Lord as he wishes us to. Members of this class are involved in many areas of church leadership and work in the community.
Talmage Skinner Class
This class has matured together over the years. Originally, our class was the Young Adult Class and as we andvanced from the young adult category the class was named in honor of a former St. Paul minster, Rev. Talmage Skinner. The class studies Adult Bible Series. The class is taught by David Henderson, Paul Johnson, Ned Johnson and Ann Akers. The class members, both men and women, are 50+ years young. Our members nuture each other and others outside of our class. Everyone is welcome. The class supports various church projects and an ongoing outreach to the community by providing gift donations to the Senior Citizens Center in Ninety Six. Our class has adopted a youth Sunday School class that we provide assistance for special occasions.
Wesleyan Class
Members of this class are ladies who are all ages. The class uses Adult Bible Studies. Their mission and activities focus is to respond whenever called upon to help. A number of the class send cards and notes to others in their thoughts and prayers. They support children's and youth projects wholeheartedly. Teachers are Sue Nickerson, Patti Stevens, Janet Dickson and Carroll Bryant. The class would love to have new members, and is a close group that works and studies well together. They give to those in need, both locally and globally. With wonderful teachers, leaders and all members working together in the name of our lord - with His guidance this class can and does make good things happen.
Jeffcoat Men's Class
This class is made up of retired men, who strongly support each other through personal illnesses and /or other personal difficulties. This class strives to help its members become better scholars of the Bible and thereby better disciples of Christ. The class is currently studying Cokesbury Adult Bible Study Series taught by several class members. They contribute much time to various causes, and have a strong brotherly love for each other. Teachers are Ray Berry, Bill Gardner, Carrol Bryant, Dick Hall and Patti Stevens.
Men's Prayer Breakfast
St. Paul United Methodist Church hosts a Men's Prayer Breakfast every Friday morning at 6:45 AM until 7:30 AM in the church fellowship hall. The breakfast is well attended by men from churches throughout the community. All men are encouraged to come and bring a friend to enjoy this time of fellowship, prayer, and a short devotional.
Celebration!
Celebration is a woman-to-woman ministry of sharing, encouraging, discipiling, and mentoring in the faith. Its focus is presenting the truth and beauty of the message of salvation, healing, renewal, and restoration in a manner that reaches the inner woman. Celebration is an official ministry of the United Methodist Church and is well attended by women from churches throughout our community. The meetings, which alternate between St. Paul UMC and Cambridge UMC, are held every 2nd Saturday morning, starting at 9:30 AM with refeshments and fellowship.
